- Preeclampsia: A Marker for Future Cardiovascular Risk in Women
The research study is looking to see whether there are any blood vessel differences in women who have a history of a pregnancy complicated by high blood pressure or preeclampsia, as compared with women who have had uncomplicated pregnancies. Study includes a 90 minute screening visit and 2 outpatient visits with fasting blood tests and two non-invasive blood vessel studies. Each outpatient visit takes about 5 hours. Compensation provided.
Eligibility Criteria: Women with a history of pregnancies complicated by high blood pressure or preeclampsia or of normal pregnancy in the last 10 years. Cannot be currently pregnant, using birth control pill or taking estrogen.
