• Carbohydrate: Amount and Type Affecting Risk for CVD and Diabetes
Are you interested in lowering your blood pressure and/or blood sugar without medication?

OMNICarb is a research study about how your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar are affected by what you eat. We provide meals for 21 weeks. There are four 5 week feeding periods with 2 week breaks between each feeding period.

You may be eligible to earn up to $1900 if you:

• Are over the age of 30
• Are willing to change your eating habits, and eat the meals that we provide
• Have normal or mildly elevated blood pressure
• Do not take medications for diabetes, blood pressure or cholesterol
• Are willing to come to our facility at 221 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA, Monday through Friday for one meal a day during the feeding periods

Participants will undergo 3 screening appointments, which can take up to 4 weeks.

After the screening process, the study will take approximately 6 months to complete with feeding periods and breaks. Study participants will undergo five OGTT (oral glucose tolerance test) tests - one at the beginning of the study and one at the end of each of the 4 feeding periods along with other study measurements.
